The following is a list of packages and options offered with examples of services provided in each. These can be tailored to meet your individual needs.

Courtesy Consultation:
  • Preliminary consultation to discuss services offered and to answer questions regarding the role of the independent college consultant (15-20 min.)

Initial Conference:
  •  Ninety minute conference with student and parents to review the Student Information Intake Form 
  • Review  the college admissions process
  • Explore student’s college goals
  • Discuss strategies to reduce stress during this process 

Comprehensive College Planning Package for Juniors and Seniors may include:
  • Review of student's high school academic record, standardized test scores  and extracurricular activities
  • Advice on curriculum planning
  • Review of tests and testing plan
  • Evaluate student’s admissions profile
  • Research college options and help students identify target schools based on their individual interests, needs, style, preferences and profile to develop a tailored college list
  • Guidance on maximizing effective campus visits
  • Assistance with  brainstorming, developing  and creating essay topics and activity resumés
  • College application essay/personal statement review
  • Scholarship essay review
  • College interview preparation
  • Application review 
  • Assistance with keeping up with deadlines, timelines and letters of recommendation
  • Discuss strategies during the application process
  • Suggestions for scholarship research
  • Post-application support and assistance with acceptance decision-making

Early Bird/Prep Planning for Freshmen and Sophomores may include:
  • Review of academic performance
  • Advice on curriculum planning 
  • Review of and suggestions for extracurricular activities
  • Explore summer activities and/or enrichment programs  
  • Discuss testing options and schedules
  • Address further educational options, if desired
  • Preliminary college planning and suggestions for campus visits
  • Discuss how to make high school a successful endeavor

Families who select the Early Bird/Prep Planning will get an adjusted rate for the Junior/Senior Comprehensive Package when purchased

Hourly Consultation and Customized 4 Hour Mini-package Blocks:
Hourly consultation services are available for targeted questions or assistance.  This option may be used for any college planning service except list development. Examples include:
  • Curriculum and extracurricular planning for the high school years
  • Personality style survey and/or career interest inventory
  • Essay topic brainstorming
  • Essay review
  • Application review
  • Resumé assistance
  • Mock interviews
